Usually when people think of restaurants in New York City they imagine them as stylish, but expensive. Peasant restaurant is a must if you are in the mood for Italian food. It has some of the most delectable Italian food in New York City. Upon entering Peasant restaurant you feel as if you are in a fallout shelter, but once inside the restaurant's atmosphere changes dramatically. The restaurant gives off a nice sense of home with its brick and wood interior. Candles flicker on the tables and thick curtains adorn the walls. Peasant's warm, romantic setting makes it the perfect date restaurant. Peasant's food is incredible and you'll walk out the door knowing you'll come back again.

If you are looking for some great Japanese food then you should really consider trying Ippudo restaurant. Located in the heart of East Village, Ippudo restaurant is the spot for Japanese food. Due to it's popularity, you must make a reservation to eat here or else you could be waiting to get seated for longer than an hour. The food is delicious and worth every bite.
