Where to Eat in the East Village

A community of young and old, and various heritages, comprise the heart of East Village in New York City. The East Village extends from 14th street to Houston street, and from 4th avenue to avenue A. The amount of places to eat are too hard to count, but you're sure to find some quality spots.

Head over to East 7th street in the East Village if you are in the mood for eating AND drinking because it's all there on that one block. First, start at Desnuda wine bar to have a glass of wine and some of their excellent ceviche. Then head over to Caracas Arepas Bar for some Venezuelan arepas. It's good to share a bunch of the items so that you can try a bunch of different things. After you're done with dinner, you can go to Butter Lane for cupcakes or the Bourgeois Pig for fondue.

NoHo, near Houston street, is another great option. Want cheap Italian? Bianca. Wan't expensive Italian? Il Buco. Spanish Tapas? Mercat. Best Sushi East Village? BONDST. Those are all great places in that area. Once finished with dinner there are plenty of spots to grab an after-dinner drink like The Lobby Bar in the Bowery Hotel or Madame Geneva behind the Double Crown Restaurant.

This is just a small sample of the hidden gems in the East Village. You can probably find a great spot on your own in the East Village just by wandering aimlessly around the area.Wherever you end up going, I'm sure you and your group of friends will enjoy it.
